The Days of Dial Up are Over!

Ugh, I remember the days of dial up. It truly made being online not an enjoyable experience! Thankfully you don’t have to put up with that annoyance anymore. Now you can have quick internet connections with t1 broadband. If you plan on running an online business or blog, you pretty much need a fast internet connection that is reliable.

I mean it’s kind of hard to reach deadlines and keep up with customer orders if your internet connection is not reliable. There is no way I would be where I am today online if I was still on dial up. If you have not upgraded, you really should look into it. Broadband connections have become a lot more affordable in recent years.

Video Game Villains

I was thinking back to the old school video games. Before any online games were around. Remember the villains? When I think of video game villians I think of things like the ghosts in Pac-man. I remember how I felt when they all would speed up and I would start to panic. It was great! Oh and not to forget their appearance in Ms. Pac-man as well. Those ghosts would stress me out!

Another video game villain that sticks out in my head is Donkey Kong! That beast was hard to beat as he trough the barrels as you tried to save the girl. To me that stuff was hard! Now I look at all the video games kids are playing and find myself wondering how they handle it? I was stressed by some lil ghosts and a gorilla.

More recently it has to be the zombies from Resident Evil. Holy cow! I never thought a video game could scare me. This one did it. I have a fear of zombies anyhow and to see those creatures coming after a character that represented me sure got my heart pumping. Darn near panic attacks! I would play this at the tattoo shop in Virginia and get scared…everyone laughed at me. Those dudes were villains…totally evil!

I wanted to add some new services to Stitchblade Designs. One being Business Card Designs. Business Cards are extremely important to have! This goes for bloggers as well. When you meet people, give them a card. The better the card looks the more likely they will come check you out! Here is a Business Card Designs I just completed for Daddy Digest.

These were designed to be printed at UPrinting, a company I highly recommend. Their cards are very high quality! I am bringing this service on at the intro price of $25.oo for 1-sided cards and $35.00 for 2-sided. I will run this special price for 2 weeks starting today. After that it will be $35.00 for 1-sided and $45.oo for 2-sided.

Amanda from Confessions from Householdsix decided she wanted to move from blogger to wordpress. Along with the move, she was ready for a new look as well. I went with Amanda’s personality and blog title to create her new header. I personally think it is a great match and works for her site. She pretty much gave me full creative freedom, I love that!

From what I can tell she is liking her switch to wordpress and is quickly getting the hang of the new blogging platform. Be sure to go check her out, she’s pretty awesome!

What Would You Buy?

Today I was thinking about things I would like to have. Like if money were no option. I can think of a bunch of things I would like to buy, but I’ll narrow it down to just 10!

An SUV, preferably a Suburban so that we could fit the entire family in comfortably and travel.
I would purchase land, lots of it. Enough so that we could have a huge garden.
I would build the home of our dreams, totally with a wrap around porch and a loft area.
I would have a pool installed, maybe one that was semi enclosed, like with netted walls to keep the bugs away
4 Wheelers for the entire family! Imagine the fun!
A house in Texas for my mom and dad, they live all the way in Georgia.
New bedroom sets for all the girls, Morgan wants Brown and Blue Polka Dots.
A Jeep for Jeremy, he sold his to move us to Texas.
A horse for Morgan, she has always wanted one and has a huge love for them.
A hot tub for my poor aching body.

Wow, it was actually kind of hard to list 10 things! There isn’t much we need, but many things that we want are very pricey. It would take a lot of work and a lot of saving, aside from emergency loans, haha…anyone want to give me one? What would you buy?

My Kinda Rain Made the Jump!

Lori, at My Kinda Rain, decided to make the jump from blogger to wordpress and wanted to start fresh with a brand new design! Keeping the same color theme of her original site will make the change a more familiar place to her readers.

We found a stock image that she loved, but the family just wasn’t quite right to represent her family. I changed it up and now it is perfect! Lori loves her new look and is excited about being on her own site! Congrats on the move Lori and please let me know if you need anything else!

Womb At the Innsane!

First of all, I have to tell you how much I love the title of this site and how awesome Kadi is! She truly keeps it 100% real and she rocks! She came to me for a new design…one that is her! At first she was opposed to using her images, but I begged and begged! She sent me her gorgeous pin-up photos and I messed with them til they were the look I had in my head. I put it all together leaning towards a comic book or pulp novel type feel. I totally fell in love with the graphics from this site!
